The Jack R. Anderson Foundation is interested in funding organizations that are IRS 501(c)(3) designated non-profits that provide a positive high impact in our local communities of Maryland, the District of Columbia and Northern Virginia. Our focus areas include:
- Education
- Nutrition
- Housing
- Social Justice
- Animal Welfare
- Environment
- Arts
Generally, applications for these grants are by invitation only. However, an invitation to apply does not automatically ensure funding. Our grants typically fall in the range of $5,000 to $25,000+, and there is no guarantee of multiple-year commitments.
We do not fund the following:
- Individuals
- Scholarships
- Endowments
- Direct mail solicitations/campaigns
- Fundraising or special events
- Political campaigns and legislative lobbying
- Associations
All applications must be submitted through our online grant portal system.
